URS Construction Services, Inc. has contracted with Quest Corporation of America (QCA) for public involvement services on the US 17, South of CR 634 to 7th Avenue Project. Maricelle Venegas, QCA’s District One Manager, serves as the Public Information Officer. She will serve as the communication liaison with community leaders, residents and visitors, as well as the media.
As part of this project, US 17 will be widened from two to four lanes. Once complete, the northbound and southbound travel lanes will be separated by a grassy ditch. This project began in mid-September 2011 and is expected to be completed in summer 2013. Please be advised that weather and other unforeseen circumstances may affect the construction schedule.
